Release Bio:
The 4 tracks comprising the EP seamlessly meld the prior indie-pop sensibilities previously honed by the group, with a impressively slick sound on par with the likes of marquee artists such as Passion Pit and Lorde. However, luckily for the listener, unlike some of their contemporaries' works, the band carries with them the lyrical backbone, honesty, and passionate sensibility necessary to not just make great sounding music, but to make music worth listening to - all while still delivering a shake and shimmy worthy of any dance floor.

Strange Tonight leads off with the massive thumping of "Got The Bite"'s hypnotic head-bobber of a beat, paired with waves of extremely catchy choruses. Quickly followed by "Running (Does That Mean You Care?)", you suddenly realize you've just been delivered a perfect one-two punch, as the pace quickens and Ultramark's vocals take the foreground over chop & screwed samples expertly sequenced by bandmate Ryan McCarthy. Creating a moment of release, "Evening At Marie's" slows your heart rate with a softer ballad-esque take on the band's sound, but not without still delivering a punchy chorus that welcomingly explodes out of the otherwise restrained fabric that makes up the song. Closing track "It's You" nicely rounds out the EP with a sound reminiscent of the likes of Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark, and The Human League circa the early 80s - accented by the airy highs of Ultramark's falsetto, proclaiming proudly over and over, "It's you, always you. Girl it's you!".
